Mike Abbott’s ‘Living Wood’ is probably our favourite and most used book. From buying a woodland to making a chair and a great deal in between. Well laid out and easy to follow, Living Wood is full of step by step green wood projects including how to build your own shave horse and pole lathe, various items of furniture and how to build a shelter to work under. This is our desert island green wood crafts book.

Another great green woodwork book! Ray Tabor’s ‘Traditional Woodland Crafts’ is packed full of designs. A practical guide to green woodwork and the coppice crafts, showing how to use traditional tools and techniques to make traditional products from small round wood, and help in the conservation of the native woodland besides.
Is now out of print and therefore priced as a rare book.
